The Renogy Battery Temperature Sensor (RTSCC-G1) is an essential accessory for optimizing battery performance in solar power systems, particularly in environments with fluctuating temperatures. Designed for seamless integration with Renogy’s flagship MPPT and PWM charge controllers, including the Adventurer 30-Li, Adventurer 30A with communication port, Rover Li series, and Wanderer 30-Li, this sensor ensures precise temperature compensation for accurate and efficient battery charging.
Featuring a 118-inch (3m) cable and a 0.24 x 2.36-inch (6 x 60mm) stainless steel probe, the sensor measures ambient battery temperatures from -4°F to 176°F (-20°C to 80°C), adjusting the charging voltage to prevent overcharging or undercharging in extreme conditions. This enhances battery lifespan and performance for sealed, gel, and flooded batteries. Note that the RTSCC-G1 is not compatible with lithium batteries or Renogy DC-DC series battery chargers.
Built for durability, the sensor’s non-polarized, insulated wires are protected for outdoor use and comply with ROHS standards. With a maximum power rating of 50mW and a voltage rating of 300V, it’s engineered to withstand harsh environments.
